Washington Nationals:

I hope you are ready for a long season Washington.

We can officially label them as the sole-losers of the Juan Soto trade after they parted ways with Mackenzie Gore and are actively in discussions of moving CJ Abrams. Although James Wood can hit the ball farther than anyone, the fact is he is as streaky as they come.

On the pitching side, they will trot out Miles Mikolas every fifth-day. Amazing!

Rookie Manager Blake Butera will have his hands full with attempting to navigate through a long season with this lackluster roster.

Don’t expect much from the Nats.

Chicaco Cubs:

Oh boy, oh boy.

This Chicago Cubs roster is as stacked as a roster can be with the likes of Pete-Crow Armstrong, Nico Hoerner, Ian Happ and their most recent free agent signing Alex Bregman. Expect a bounce back year from Dansby Swanson and a full season of their catcher Moises Ballesteros who is an early breakout candidate.

Although their pitching is still lacking a true ace, Justin Steele’s anticipated return will be crucial if this team is serious about a deep October run. Shota Imanaga came back down to Earth last year but that was overthrown after a fantastic season by Matthew Boyd and top-pitching prospect Cade Horton.

The Cubs have arrived. I hope you’re ready.

Prediction: CHC Sweeps
