Bobby came to play.
Team USA is filled with superstar type players in every single position. However, Bobby Witt Jr. has certainly showed off and demonstrated to be the best player in their roster. The numbers tell the story: in three games, he has posted a slash line of .357/.471/.500 totaling an OPS of .971. He is still to hit one over the fence, but he has made up for it by stealing 3 bases fully displaying his elite speed.
We have known for a while that Witt Jr. is without a doubt the best shortstop in the game and it’s been one of the highlights of the tournament to see him translate his talent onto the international stage.
Keep it up Bobby.
